During college, I was probably the busiest that I have ever been in my entire life. One semester in particular, I was taking 18.5 credit hours, plus working two part-time jobs and completing an internship. Oh, and trying to run this business. Looking back, I don't know why I tried to do so much all at once!
Whenever things got crazy, my mom would always tell me, "just take it one day at a time." Now that I'm done with school, I still carry this phrase with me. I'm a lot less busy these days, but this saying still reminds me that I don't have to have everything figured out all at once.
I decided to start the Encouragement Challenge with this topic because I know that if you're like me, it can be hard to feel encouraged when you're focused on what you don't have figured out.
In what areas of your life have you felt rushed? List a few of these areas/goals in your journal. Instead of putting pressure on yourself, give yourself permission to take things slow. Take some time to reflect on what taking things slow in these areas might look like for you.
I hope this activity has been helpful for you. I will see you all back here on the blog tomorrow for Day 2 of the challenge!
